National Stock Exchange Issues Caution Against Fraudulent Schemes on Telegram Channels
The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has issued a warning to investors about fraudulent schemes being promoted on Telegram channels, urging caution and regulatory compliance to prevent financial fraud.
In its advisory, NSE highlighted two Telegram channels, ‘Bullish Stocks’ and ‘Bharat Trading Forum’, and identified individuals named “Ranveer Singh” and “Ajay Kumar Sharma” operating through mobile numbers “9076273946” and “7878337029” who are offering assured returns on investments in the stock market. These individuals are also asking investors to share their login credentials to handle their trading accounts.
The NSE emphasized that investors should not subscribe to any scheme offering guaranteed returns in the stock market, as it is prohibited by law. Additionally, investors are advised not to share their trading credentials with anyone.
To verify the authenticity of a stock broker, NSE has provided a facility on its website where users can check the details of registered members and authorized persons. The designated bank accounts for receiving and paying money from investors are also displayed on the website for verification.
Investors are urged to exercise caution and conduct thorough research before engaging with any person or entity in the stock market. By following regulatory compliance and scam prevention measures, investors can protect themselves from falling victim to financial fraud.
