Key findings from the survey include:
– One in three UK adults are either in the process of starting their own business or have plans to do so in order to achieve financial freedom.
– Nearly 1 in 5 respondents are not able to save any money each month.
– Northern Ireland emerges as the least prepared region, with only 2.4% of residents setting aside funds for financial independence.
Mark Bower-Easton, Head of Distribution at Oxford Capital, shared his insights on the survey findings and offered advice on how individuals can work towards financial freedom.
The survey also revealed the various steps UK adults are taking to achieve financial independence, with opening a savings account being the most popular choice, followed by investing in stocks and shares, seeking professional financial advice, and starting their own business.
Residents in Greater London were found to be the most prepared for financial freedom, with a significant percentage actively working towards their financial goals. The survey also highlighted the amount of money UK residents are investing each month towards financial freedom, with a majority investing between £1-£200 per month.
