Announcement of Finalists for the 2024 Financial Planner of the Year Award by FPI

The Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa has announced the three finalists for the prestigious 2024 Financial Planner of the Year Award. The finalists are Gareth Collier CFP®, Rudolph Geldenhuys CFP®, and René Van Der Spreng CFP®. These three individuals will be competing for the top prize at the FPI Convention in Cape Town on 13 August.

The Financial Planner of the Year award recognizes excellence in the profession and practice of financial planning. The winner will receive the FPI Financial Planner of the year trophy, a certificate, and will be appointed as one of the FPI’s professional brand ambassadors. The competition is known for its stringent criteria and challenging selection process, ensuring that only the best of the best are considered.

Gareth Collier is a director and shareholder at Crue Invest (Pty) Ltd, Rudolph Geldenhuys has top accolades in Investment Planning and Financial Planning Law, and René Van Der Spreng is a wealth manager and Director at Apex Private Wealth. These three finalists have showcased their talents and abilities in financial planning, exhibiting innovative ideas, excellent skills, and impeccable ethics when dealing with clients.

In addition to the Financial Planner of the Year award, there will be other prizes distributed at the Awards dinner, including the Diversity and Inclusion Award, the Harry Brews Award, the It Starts with Me Award, the Student Competition Award, and the Top Candidate Award.
